I t-think-k s-so.
Encantador might have smiled at this - it was a joke! surely it was a joke, right? - but the shock of seeing his younger half-brother and feeling the warmth of Baron's cheek pressed against his kept kept him rooted firmly to earth. He couldn't think straight, and so he stood awkwardly, frozen as his sibling's embrace lasted second after second, grateful once Baron had pulled away simply because he could now look the young stallion in the eye and try to remember what he knew about him.
Though he was his brother, he still was little more than a stranger, and Encantador felt almost surprised when he received the boy's welcome. How had he known? ...Of course he'd known. No one in the harbor had missed the fact that the young prince had fled and left them all as if they meant nothing to him anymore. "T-thank you," he stammered, one ear flicked back. "But, where have you been all this time? Are you still living... back home?" Just say it: the Harbor. But the word still felt like poison on his tongue.
[ew, i'm so sorry.]
