His Home. Cold Brown Eyes Looked Over The Sandy Terrain. Even If He Gave Up His Position As Lead, This Was Still His Place, Where He Was Raised And Born. He Wasn't Going To Let Some Big Bad Brute Take That From Him. So As He Waited For His New Leaders Arrival, He Spent The Day Patrolling Along The Shoreline. He Walked Along The Top Of The Dunes. He Knew How To Place His Hooves Just Right So He Wouldn't Go Sliding Down. His Red Coat Shined Brightly Under The Warm Sun. Just Like His Mother And His Big Sister Alexa. You Knew Them Well For Their Red Coloring.
He Stopped When He Neared The Tallest Dune, His Eyes Peered Into The Distance At The Sight Of A Golden Coat. Could This Be His New Leader? No. This Horse Was Clearly A Mare. He Stood There Memorized. Watching The Suns Rays Hit Her Golden Coat So Beautifully. Even If This Was His New Stallions Mare, He Still Longed To Meet Her. So With A Confident Nod, He Set Out After The Pretty Lass. He Slid Down The Opposite Side Of The Dunes, Away From The Salty Waves. He Would Easily Cut Her Off. Sending A Friendly Nicker To Her, He Awaited For Her To Join Him At The Bottom Of The Dune. " Ello There Sheila!," He Called To Her, A Big Grin Appearing On His Maw. He Had Only A Hint Of An Aussie Accent To Him. You Can Thank His Daddy For That. Looking To Her Again, He Could Almost Feel Himself Go Red, If That Was Even Possible With His Coat. He Glanced Down At The Ground, One Hoof Digging At The Sand. |
