Writings on the Wall, Hollowpoint

Dragon had told her not to follow him and that he never wanted to see her again. Lucindai could travel with him but Calligraphy; he'd told her straight. There was nothing she could have done about it and if he was going to be like that, Callie didn't want anything to do with him anymore. It wasn't worth her time and Hollowpoint here had let her remain here. Now though, it was time to meet the grand stallion. The soft grey mare found herself wondering about the bay dun tobiano. He was a handsome stallion from when she'd seen him in the distance and there were rumors that he'd been here before. Why though, had he left? Were there reasons like her own that best remained in one's own mind? Perhaps, she would not question him about it though. Whatever the reasoning, he had them and it was never her place to inquire.

Moving quietly, Calligraphy finally pauses just in the open. Her mind wanders as she'd pondered on just what to say to him. Would there be questions about why she'd not made herself known again to The Dragon? Hadn't she loved him? Sure, it hurt that he'd told her never to come back but now, now it was anger that filled her mind too. There was the ache of her heart; slowly feeling it breaking. He didn't want her anymore and she had only herself to blame really. Shaking the thoughts from her mind, she sighed and let her strong; sweet tone ring out for Hollowpoint. Surely he was around and would have heard her.

Now, the pretty damsel had only to wait for him. This new leader of the Ridge. What was he like, was he as glorious as the rumors said? The whisper in the wind told of this male having been on the islands before. Where though? Calligraphy was not sure and she probably wasn't caring to find out. There was a little curiosity though, there always would be. This stallion had returned, something had driven him back to their precious islands. Something had driven her back too and at the time, she'd thought it was The Dragon. He hadn't thought so though and so, she found herself alone here. Knowing no one now and waiting for a perfect stranger to approach her. This perfect stranger though was gracious enough to let her call this home still. It was only right that she get to know him. Hopefully he wouldn't think badly of her however, for how she'd acted.

Maybe it had been wrong to leave but Calligraphy had been one to have her reasons. She was lost in her mind and things hadn't seemed to be going her way. There had been too much going on and she'd panicked. Was it such a crime that the soft grey mare had panicked? No, Calligraphy didn't think so but obviously the former fellow had. Wait, he had a name. Though to him, she didn't matter anymore. She never would again. Did he even miss her; was his heart even aching for her? Calligraphy doubted it for he had their beautiful daughter with him and plenty of his ladies most likely to keep him busy. Calligraphy was merely a memory in the back of his mind she guessed. Enough thought about The Dragon though, it was time to focus on this newcomer and learn things about him where she could.

C'est la vie Dragon. I guess this is how it was meant to be. She whispered the words from her lips as she looked out in the direction they had gone. There was no trace of them of course but she knew it was where they'd headed. She would not follow, she was not welcomed amongst him now. Returning her attention to the homeland she'd known for so long, Calligraphy watched for Hollowpoint.
