Pretty in dun

A shell was not a good place to be, Belita had long since learned this. In her younger years, she'd had hope and so much more. Then everything had fallen apart and Belita found herself slowly falling apart. Hollowpoint.... Her mind wandered back to him. There had been rumors of his return to the islands and she had found out, they were not rumors at all. Her beloved Hollowpoint was back. Not really though, he wasn't her Hollowpoint anymore. Sighing softly, she shook her head. She didn't need to do this, the pain should not be there anymore. It was though, for how he'd abandoned Devoid and she. How he'd just up and vanished into thin air so to say. It still hurt.

Devoid hadn't needed that at all. It had been the reality for them though. Then Dante had come along and allowed them a home here. He'd let the boys stay for a while. Then it had been time they move on. She had left too, now she understood why. She had been hurting still, she had been lost in her own thoughts and pain. She hadn't understood it until now, with the returning scent that had been carried to her on the wind. His returning scent and she knew. She would not fall back into that depression though, not this time. Dante didn't deserve that and her life then was of the past. The future she had to look forward too, the future that Dante and she could have.

Dante was surprised, she'd felt it in the way he reacted. It was not a bad reaction though, merely one of astonishment. It changed rather quickly however. She had not felt him hesitate or draw back of her touch. Instead, she heard his voice; simple but with great meaning. I missed you, too, Belita. She felt him pull himself against her, to rest his own muzzle lightly against her neck. It was then that she heard his soft response. Hopefully I won't have to again.

She felt ashamed then though she didn't show it, for what she'd done to him. Leaving like that without even so much as a goodbye. He had said there needed not to be apologies, she had nothing to apologize for. She would not do that again, it was pointless. She'd said her apologies and they would leave it at that. It won't need to. She stated softly, gently lipping the hairs against his neck before she pulled her sculpted head back up. Those rich honey brown eyes sparkled with soft affection. They really had a chance to get to know one another now. What have I missed Dante? Anything important? How have you been really Dante? Well I would hope. She really did want to know, she had missed him and was concerned about him. How could she not be?
