To say that he was surprised when she opened her mouth would be an undestatement. For a moment all he could do was look down at her, golden eyes filled with a mixture of confusion and curiosity. She was different in a myriad of ways and he found himself replaying what she had just spoken over and over again in his mind until she moved to stand. He stepped awkwardly back a few paces to give her room before looking over the rest of her backend that had been buried in the dirt and dust from her slide. Her coat seemed to shimmer and shift in colors depending on the way the sun hit her all save for the white of her face and chest. (Of course it was more off white as all were typically. They were still horses after all.)

He lowered his painted head to be a bit more on eyelevel with her while he stifled a laugh. Somehow she made him want to be young again regardless of the fact she didn't seem young at all. “You'll have to show me how you did it in such flawless form sometime.” After the long quiet the Ridge had given him it seemed only fair that it now give him this intriguing wonder. She seemed incapable of being still. Constantly some part of her was in movement and he found himself watching the twitch of her skin, the repositioning of a hoof, or the tilt of her head.

The idea that she was simple or slow in some way never entered his mind, he was not one to judge so quickly, but rather he fascinated her. She gave him a name and he tried to work through what she had said.. “Keengfeesha... Well very nice to meet you feesha, I'm Hollowpoint.” A nice little nickname to help him with her thick accent. “Where are you from and what brought you to rolling down my hills?” His eyes danced back and forth across her face and he thanked whatever gods for her company.
