Don't Judge Me [Sutekh & Sekhet]

Stallion -- 3 -- Mustang x Australian Stock Horse -- Chestnut[ee aa] -- 14.3hh -- Dangerous Dunes -- Aldiva x Mattimna
Once again his home has been taken over. First the old brute, and now this mare and stallion. The dunes needed a stable leader;or leaders. His narrowed eyes looked out across the shore from where he stood atop one of the larger dunes. His mother and father would sometimes stand here to watch over the mares when they were still here. Aldiva had made a great lead mare, and his father a wonderful lead stallion. He silently wondered if they'd ever come back. Sighing, he returns to looking up and down the shoreline, watching for any signs of intrusion. It wasn't his job anymore, but still; It was a habit that would be hard to break. He knew his new leaders were coming to decide his fate, so he should be prepared to leave. They clearly didn't trust him that well because of his age. He just needed guidance

Lifting his head up, he let out a call. His ears could hear his voice echo around him, and he knew wherever the leaders were that they'd be quick to find him. He was not a hard horse to find. His chestnut coloring made him a giant red target. Turning on his heels, he let his body slowly slide down the dune. He'd walk around till they found him. He stepped carefully, his maturing muscles shifting under his skin, and soon sweat gathered on his sides. The summer heat was bad this year, but he had dealt with it so well. His body had adapted well to the summer heat here. He couldn't imagine being away from his home. Stopping in the very center of the large dune ridden clearing, his eyes looked around; maybe taking in the last of his home. I Hope they will treat you well, his mind whispers, and then smiling when the wind brushed his body. He decided to head over to the oasis where he was born by to refresh his body, but he'd wait till they got here. Maybe they'd let him show them where it is, maybe they also were wanting to quench their thirst.

I'll Follow In My Father's Steps.
