Juncos abound today and the first fox sparrow of the year showed up this morning.

Both the meadowlark and phoebe were singing again this morning. They had been quite vocal during the warm weather but had gone silent when the cold weather returned. Although this was quite a frosty morning, they must have figured "what the heck, let's get on with this spring business".

Turkeys have been gobbling across the fields over the last few mornings.
