endure...survive...evade...
The year of 2012 brought a lot of change to Earth. The world hasn't ended by rapture or from being bombarded by a meteor shower. That stuff is of science fiction. Humanity is still very much on the third planet from the Sun. The majority of people might move about as a walking corpse, but humanity is still very much there.
The workers responsible for the deforestation of the Rainforest in Southern America unearth ancient viruses all the time from disturbing old graves within the long settled soil of the forests. In the beginning of the New Year of 2012, they uncovered something that should never have seen the light of day again. The workers fell ill with Ebola, or actually, the virus carried every symptom of Ebola for that matter. What they uncovered was far more worse. Within days, the hospitalized workers, who had been shipped back to hospitals for treatment, had begun to bleed from every opening in their body, as the final stages of Ebola causes the human body to do. The difference was, those who were sick began to go crazy and became extremely violent, attacking everyone around them. They ripped apart everyone in the hospitals, this is where the second, mutated strain of the virus came into light. Those who were killed seemed to reinanimate and shuffle around as a lifeless corpse, as if the virus within them urged them to spread it to new victims.
It's been four months since the first infected. The world as you knew it is now gone. Life is no longer about Sunday football, working a nine to five job, or tucking your kids in bed for the night. It's about digging in, evading the dead, and survival. Governments are no more, and the militaries in the world are cut off from each other, and are still operating their last given orders, whether it's "exterminate all you see" or "search for and aid survivors."
So now that your eyes have been opened to the events that have occured, what role will you play in it. Will you be a cure for the cancer that has so quickly consumed the human race, or will you look out for yourself for the sake of your own life.
