In Hanuel, the darkness has become more than just a definition of Night, but a means of living for those who have fallen under it's strange element. Horses are not longer just horses but walking nightmares; boogeymen, imps, daemons, monsters...they are all here and waiting in the darkness - ready to eat the innocent alive. They have thrived here for many thousands of years and the land is riddled with mysterious creatures who were once just like you, a simple horse. Will you fall prey to the night just like them?

Will you resist it? Will you hold onto the light in such a way that you embody it? Not only can horses here in Hanuel embrace the darkness but they can take in the sunlight as well. So much so, they can harness it and use it to their will to keep the monsters at bay. There is no God here and there is no Devil, forget what they told you when you were young about being saved by Guardian angels for they have all been devoured by an enemy much more arcane and grim, Hanuel's nightmares.
