Many eons ago, a planet of many mysteries was created and imbued with the piece of a soul of a powerful divine being, but he wasn’t a god. He was a fallen angel that wanted to win over a powerful female angel named Setsuna to his side. This fallen angel was known as Hell bringer, the Harbinger of darkness. However, Setsuna presented him with a challenge of creating a world with magic and the beings on it had to be living. Many ages had passed as Hell bringer worked to find a way to make this world as Setsuna had requested, but the price for success was imbuing a piece of his soul in order to breathe life into the core of the planet, Iridaria Nyx. He had created the wilderness, but knew not how to populate it. This led to the summoning of Setsuna to the, at the time, young planet. Needless to say, for once, Setsuna was impressed by the work of another. Her gaze, however, was hard and unwavering as she spoke, “I shall help you create life here as a token for your efforts Hell bringer, however, in ten years from now, we shall leave and give our creations free reign. When things go out of balance, we shall return and do battle for the right to rule. That, however, doesn’t mean we can’t visit in faux forms and walk amongst them. Being what we are, our incarnations won’t remember our past and power. Our powers will reawaken and with them our memories. Then when the time is right, we shall do battle for the final dominion of Iridaria Nyx and whose side I shall take in the final battle between our respective lords. That means you will have to defeat me if you still wish to win me over.” Once Hell bringer gave his consent to the terms, Setsuna created four groups of species: canines, humans, equine, and big cats. All of the different species representing certain attributes of the pure soul. The canines represented loyalty, humans represented wisdom, the equine represented love, and the big cats represented dignity. As planned the two walked amongst the planet in their true forms for ten years. They had quickly become worshipped as gods by the humans who lived on the planet and learned various forms of sorcery from their beloved deities. That is how Setsuna and Hell bringer were seen by the mortals. What no one knew was that the pair was secretly gathering followers for their final show down. It was a battle that could destroy the planet. No one would know if it would or not, but it was understood by humans that this was a battle of the heart, and not of the war their fellows waged. However, the odd peace that has existed for centuries on Iridaria Nyx is beginning to crumble. Now is the time to choose a side: light and dark, predator and prey, and domestic and wild…..What will you become? html by M&M |
