Anubis waited, knowing that Capricorn would notice another in the land, he would catch his scent on the air and come to investigate, and that call had just been for good measure, to make sure that the meeting between them would happen and that he wouldn’t just be standing here waiting for him for too long. Anubis’ golden head tilted in the sun as he waited, his coat rippled when the muscles shifted beneath the taut skin, the sway of the pal trees above his head was a comforting factor and he was glad, so glad to be back within the boundaries of paradise. It was home, had been for so long and he was thrilled to have it be his home again.
He caught sight of the chestnut blanket male, watching as he came towards him, he tilted his head gently, acknowledging the man’s position within the land, Anubis smiled halfway as he listened to Capricorn’s vocals. “I believe you were waiting for me to show. I’m Anubis.” He spoke plainly, his ears twisting forward as he listened to the wind whistle through the trees, his head tilted upwards for a brief moment, a ghost of a smile glancing across his lips.
“I grew up here. It’s been so long since I’ve been here, but it’s the same, not as lively as it was when my grandfather was here, but it hasn’t changed much.” He spoke in general, his eyes returning to look at Capricorn, his pale eyes searching the other man’s face, wondering what it was that had drawn him to paradise in the first place, and yet, Anubis wasn’t about to make the first leap in that direction, so he kept his mouth shut as he shifted his weight, his eyes glancing past the man and looking about the land for a brief moment. It was a sight for sore eyes, that much was true. He loved this place, more than anything, and he was so excited to be back and to be able to raise his children here, it would be the best thing on earth, at least to him because he loved growing up here. It had made the world of a difference to him because of the joy that the place held, naturally, it was so vibrant.
He couldn’t wait for Virtue and Quest to come here, the girl was not his own child, no, but he felt towards her as a father should, and he hoped that Virtue wouldn’t be so scared, but he knew that it would take time to get her to relax completely around him, he just hoped that she would come around quickly, because he didn’t want to have her feel as if she was the odd one out in the herd. No, he wanted her to get along with the rest of the girls, mainly Ameila, he hoped that she could help draw Virtue out of her shell, eventually that is. No rush, not at all.
