 Nikola sees yet another member of The Dragon's family arrive at the doorstep, disappointed. He was beginning to felt a pang of guilt for listening to his instincts, acting as ever stallion did.. Something he shouldn't feel bad about but he was a stallion of sentiment. Isoke's words carried her emotions whether it was intentional or not. Her eyes, half-lidded, the way she held herself. Disappointment in more ways than he could imagine but even as he moved his eyes to the little filly, he can't help but smile. "She is beautiful," he says with complete sincerity, no sarcasm present on his tongue like usual. He might have said more but the sudden thunder of hooves brought his ears around. Out from the shadows of the trees a mare, out for his blood it appeared. When she stopped, flying sand around them, he threw his head with a closed mouth squeal, ears pinned. He did not strike out, merely took a few steps back and lifted an ear to hear her snapping. Her and Pierce would get along, no doubt. Anymore of these dames around and he would have to call an exorcist. He keeps him composure, tail whipping at his sides as he straightens up, looking his place without appearing aggressive. "Please, heed your friend's advice and calm down. I am Nikola and I am lead here. I invite all of you to stay, at least until the water is more compliant. If you would like to stay after that, you are more than welcome." He chances a glance at the filly peeking around her mother's legs. "Do not feel as if you have to hide away. I have a herd that is more than willing to welcome strangers and keep their company even if overnight. Little ones to keep each other company.. Predators you know." He realized how long winded he was being but he felt it needed to be said before the other grullo drove them away out of pride of misconception of Nikola's intensions. N I K O L A |
