I stood a few strides from the girl in the commons, looking over my shoulder to make sure that she followed. Reassured by her movements I turned back towards the crossing. I slowed to a walk as I entered the salty water, bracing myself against the icy currents. We walked further into the water and soon enough I could no longer touch the bottom of the ocean. Legs churning underwater I made for Tinuvel, watching all the time to make sure Avalanche was keeping up. I knew a lot of girls had little experience with the crossing, and I worried that she would struggle with the swim. Pride swelled within my body as I watched the girl tackle the waters and we pulled ourselves onto the far beach in record time. Halting just out of reach of the tide I turned to the girl, watching as she took in her first glimpse of her new home. I was proud of the territory, and I hoped that she would like it here. I had been confident back in the commons that she would choose me, and even more confident that I am the more competent stallion. But that doesn't automatically translate to her happiness, and I very much wanted her to want to be here, be with me. "Avalanche it is truly my honor to have you here. I hope that you will be happy." I reached across the space between us to run my muzzle along her crest, yet again reveling in the fact that this girl was mine. She was a true gem, and I would defend her and protect her for as long as she would have me.
"Shall we?" I questioned, before moving farther into the territory. We walked along for a short while, the afternoon sun warming our backs, driving the moisture from our coats. We strode through a small line of evergreens, their boughs grazing our backs as we pushed through them to the heart of the territory. A slight wind picked up, bringing with it the scent of my other mares. "Currently two other mares reside here. I have one more that was stolen from me. But I am challenging to get her back. I want you to know I will fight for you darling, you are safe here." I halted and lowered my muzzle to the femme's body, breathing in her scent. This girl has already captivated me, and I know that I will fight beyond all my ability to keep her should someone try and take her from me. She chose me, and mine she will stay. "So is there anything you would like to do? I'd be honored to show you around."
