Sure it seems quieter, but there's always something. Mid morning on Wylie and Shrike rds. there were kestrels, mixed flocks of swallows (barn, n. roughwinged, cliff), a red-tailed hawk, a grouse casually crossing the road, E. kingbirds, E. meadowlarks, an upland sandpiper on top of a hydro pole, a vocalizing nighthawk, a singing pine warbler ...
