Little mountain of mine,

Acorn spotted her blanketed friend right away. Mostly because she nickered and galloped up.

The chestnut mare smiled, happy to be in the Forest. The trees seemed to hide her, letting her escape the week's events. Acorn decided to make the most of it while she could, but hopefully she would be able to apologize as she left. Stay calm, Acorn. Maybe you should stop growing up and become a kid again. You still got the ninja skills in you. The mix pushed the thoughts out of her head, instead reaching out her muzzle to trade breathes with her friend. She was glad that the chestnut mare hadn't left the Forest, so hopefully Acorn's words hadn't made an impact. "I've been a bit tired lately," she admitted, pulling away from her friend. "Ivan's been driving me up the wall. What about you?"

Acorn wasn't sure if she had mentioned Ivan when they first met, but she hoped Fayte would still understand even if she hadn't. "And how's Bondurant? Is a foal gonna be on the way soon?" The chestnut mare asked, eyes sparkling. Her tail flicked, hitting tree trunk and she continued before Fayte could answer. "Perhaps we could actually find him this time? I realize that's what we planned to do before I... left." She offered a weak smile, hoping her chestnut friend wouldn't continue off the subject. It was rather embarrassing now that Acorn could look back on it. The chestnut mare had never needed to apologize before and she had no clue exactly what to do. How did she bring it up lightly?

But, slipping the grin back on her face, Acorn waited for Fayte's answer.
