"My old home would be in the dunes. That is where i was born and raised, but i know no one there now." Her gaze lingers on the surface of the water, watching as her reflection was disrupted by the small occasion of ripples. She missed the dunes, and her father. He was probably her only sane link to her past life. Aldiva was of no help at all, since the old mare had almost completely forgotten her firstborn and was to caught up with moving on. Daddy would know what to do, she thinks sadly, shifting her frail weight from side to side under the hot rays of the sun. But there was no need to dwell in the past right now.
Lifting her head again, she watches Canta move as if to touch, but to her disappointment, he stopped where he was. It wasn't like she was some walking disease, so why wouldn't he even comfort her with a nudge or nuzzle? He's probably still upset at the fact he bred me, her mind mutters, and her ears slightly lay back but not all the way. If you weren't listening to her thoughts, then you'd think she was simply relaxing. That small flare of a smart ass comment on the way he was acting was working it's way up her throat, but then he spoke again and she quickly swallowed it.
She gives a firm shake of her red head, and meets his sad gaze. "Canta...You don't know what the future can hold. I could easily feel for you like i did for him." Knowing he was still not about to touch her, she took it upon herself to move until her body was right alongside his, and with a small relaxed sigh, she turned her head to rest it against his shoulder.
"He cared for me, and now your caring for me. Your doing the same things he did, and it dosen't make this situation any different. You will never know what our outcome may be." with that clearly said, she closed her chocolate orbs, and snuggled into his warmth. It felt weird doing this, but she was tired and this was the first time in a while she's actually been able to get close to another she cared about.
If he wanted to leave then fine, she didn't care, well....she probably would later.
