To him, if felt like he had been waiting there for an eternity. Grayson, who was shifting left to right and looking down the halls to see if anyone was coming, was just about to knock a second time before the door swung open. He couldn’t contain his smile which was quiet honestly spread from ear to ear. “Tristan! Oh thank Aura!” He said with much exaggeration as he stepped through the doorway with Tristan’s Invite it. Grayson had almost forgotten Era, who was also with him, and nearly made him fall over attempting to get in as well, apparently she was excited too.

Ah yes, I’d nearly forgotten about how cold the castle always seemed to be. Its been far too long.” He pulled his jacket around him tighter as he sat beside the fire and curled into himself. He watched as his friend sat down on his bed, his eyes couldn’t help but wander around. Tristan’s room was much fancier then his own. He didn’t have much of anything to put on the walls let alone color. But then again, he hadn’t spent enough time in his own room to ever care. His room only contained a bed, dresser, and desk. The desk was normally used for putting random objects on or throwing clean clothes on it since he didn’t want to mix them with the dirty one’s on the floor. And the dresser, he was sure his old wooden sword was still tucked beneath some clothing in the top drawer. Even thinking about that plain room in Nimmy’s house made him miss it.

I haven’t been up too much.” Lies. Grayson had been up to something; in fact he was quite shocked Tristan hadn’t even heard about it. But then again Nimmy could have told him and he was just waiting for Grayson to say something. Sighing heavily he realized he had to tell him, he was his best friend after all. “Well, I’ve actually been up to quite a lot.” His smile quickly turned to a frown, as his eyes wondered back to the fire.

The fire. The one thing that always seemed to symbolize his mother, she was the girl made of fire. But after what she put him and his sister through that fire also symbolized something else. “I’m not sure what Nimmy has told you Tristan, but I haven’t been living there, I haven’t for months.” He couldn’t take his eyes from the fire. “Ever since the freeze hit I’ve been trying to find my mother. After all she put me and Saffron through I had to get answers, I just had too.” At this point he looked at Tristan, his eyes began to water but with all his might he tried to force them back, he wouldn’t cry, he couldn’t cry, he’d already shed to many tears for her many of them frozen before they hit the ground during the freeze. “I honestly don’t even know how I’m alive. Too many times I got caught in the snow without shelter or food. I stole Tristan, I stole a lot to survive and continue what I set out to do. But I still can’t forgive myself for ever doing it.” he sighed, “I didn’t fine her Tristan, and honestly, I’m glad I didn’t. If I had there is no telling what hateful things I might of said, no telling what state she would even be in.

By this point Era had crawled beside him and laid her head on his lap, she too remembered the cold; it wasn’t something she wanted to go back too. “No one really knows I’m back, except for you, now. But enough of me, how have you been? It’s been too long!
