Adaptation is A free form equine rpg loosely based on the theory of evolution.
- Everything within Adapt is dynamic!
- There is no plot or land alliances that the player must conform too!
- There is no magic in Adapt. Evolution is not magic, it is the natural progression of a species adapting to their surroundings.
- There is the option of traits (such as wings, horns, gills, etc), which will help your characters adapt to their surroundings.
- Every player is allowed to play Adapt however they want!
- In Adapt, all lands are equal and start out as herds, however with the addition of herd members your herd can grow into a kingdom, to be ruled however the players wish it to be!
Create alliances, create enemies, create perfectly adapted animals to their habitat or create hideous deformed monsters adapted to no land.
The only restriction in Adapt is your imagination!
The Raanan [Roh-nan] are a new and unique breed to the lands of Adaptation. Though The people of Adapt are fairly new the Raanan are an old world people who have been thriving for generations just out of sight. The land mass that the Raanan are located on is called Abana and their capitol city is named after their land. Centuries ago Abana had been part of Adapt but a terrible earthquake broke apart the land mass into several masses and over time Abana found itself adrift at sea. A giant climate shift, the very shift that brought life back to Adapt, also caused the tidal flow to change pushing Abana back to it's rightful place amongst Adapt. Now only a few miles of water separate Abana from Adapt along the Cove and Marshaland's borders. Though they are all derived of the same mass the people have developed into wholly separate entities.
- Unlike the Free Lands, Abana is a very structured system giving no wiggle room for ruling or societal position, these lands will not be flexible like the usual Adapt lands and will always adhere to a strict code.
- The Raanan are a monarchy based society, will always be led by a male and the succession will always be dictated by blood. When a child is not present to take over succession the rulership will be passed to the top most ranked of the King's Guard. There will never be a time when the rulership is passed to a female or anyone beyond the kings cabinet.
- The Raanan are strictly opposed to cross breeding, as their rulership is dictated by blood the thought of tainting that with the oddities of the Free Lands makes the whole of the people ill. Any cross breed will be outlawed from the land and never allowed back.
- These new people come equipped with 3-4 traits (4 for males, 3 for females), which are distinct to the breed and must be present in order to be considered pure.
Our once peaceful free flowing land has encountered an enemy which we can not truly hate, an enemy that is us. In all their unadulterated presence they come to us bound for war in order to reclaim what they feel is theirs. We must fight for our land or perish knowing our duty has been yet undone but how does one fight something so well oiled and organized?
