The forest king hadn't been too certain as to what exactly vi had been specifically looking for, but the fountain had seemed to please her. it was the small surprises that had drawn kieron to the forest. sure, he was trying to appeal to her better nature, but if she chose not to stay, he would understand. high maintenance mares were not easy to keep happy, but they were definitely the most rewarding, if you were able to keep them happy and surprise them every once in awhile. that was the one thing the chestnut stallion yearned for. to make a mare, like vivianna, happy. meeting her desires and needs filled kieron with an ego boost. it satisfied his desire and need to be a provider with a bit of a challenge, to push him to be and do better. to be held to a higher standard. something to strive for was worth more than a thousand diamonds.
Kieron smiled. it brought relief to his shaking hocks to see vivianna embracing the delights of the fountain. there was something about females and fountains. he didn't know what it was, but it didn't really matter. all that mattered to him, was that vivianna chose to stay with him. she was young and attractive. she was sweetly spicy. there was one other place that had entered his thoughts, as to a sanctuary of sorts that vivianna might find a place to call her own. it was quite a small place, almost invisible, but the security it provided would give the king relief enough to have her be there by herself, if she so chose.
The separation of her body was too much to bear, and so kieron's limbs carried is husky frame over to the siren. but this time he pressed his torso against hers, making sure to not use so much force that she would loose her balance. just enough for her to know it was purposefully done and not just a passing of some sorts. it was time to get down to business. glancing at his own reflection, in the clear liquid, he let his lips part and a melodic set of chords danced onto the thin air.
"Vivianna, before i ask you if these little delights find me in your favor, i would like to share a small piece of the forest with you. i realize it's dense and without the gorgeous views that the other islands may have to offer, but if you follow me, i pray you will not be disappointed."
This new location was practically just discovered the previous day. kieron had thought he had covered the whole terrain, but this delicate luxury had seemed to escape him. gently, he pushed her west, his muzzle on her shoulder.
"To the west." he said, before picking up the pace to a rocking gate.
His stride was long and as he entered the dense thicket again, he stretched his form towards the heavens, as he dug into the steep incline of the half hill, half mountain. he could hear the fatale behind him, so he didn't wait, loosing momentum at this rate would be deadly. but at the top of the hill, he pranced in place, waiting for vivianna to reach the top, before heading south, but still most west.
The trail looked old, but it was not overgrown. instead it was lined with blossoms and the trees created a nice canopy. the journey was short, once they had reached the top, because kieron came to a sliding stop. before him, a weeping willow was perched over a shallow stream. the space it provided was not meant for more than three equines. he turned to face the east.
"Here, vivianna, is a tranquil resting place. a secret asylum that looks out over the islands and gives an incredible view of the sunrise and sunset. i know the route is not easy, but it's well worth it. and if you like it, it's yours."
Kieron stole a glance over the contessa, finally looking to her reaction and features to tell him anything of her approval or disapproval.
