i never thought you would go away - any

Jay watched the pattern of these strange new horses, trying her best to fit in. She realized that this island was not the only one they lived at, but there were others out in the distance. She watched as many came and went from those islands and she wondered where her brother might be. From where she was standing at the edge of the ocean, she could see three clearly. Hopefully there were no more, her brain had already piled up with too much information that day. But she was not going to sleep and wait for tomorrow when he brother might be in this strange place. In fact, she was sure he was on one of those islands out in the ocean. Thinking back on when she last saw him, she wondered if he would go where he felt most welcomed. Peering out over the ocean, she could not see any canyons. But, as her eyes scanned over each of the islands carefully, she spotted a forest. With a gasp, the grey and white mare plunged into the ocean and towards it.

Jay was sure that was where her brother was, but she wasn't sure if he had gone and found any different lands after they were split up. She had found a dessert, what if he had found an ice land and decided he liked it! She was sure they were both looking for each other. What if he had found an ice land here? Thoughts swarmed over the sabino mare but she quickly pushed them to the back of her mind, including all her doubt. As the sun had sunk even farther from it's perch, Jay had arrived. Quickly she walked up to the treeline, disappointed that they were not all birches. "Brother!" she called out, stepping into the forest when there was no answer. As she moved farther in, she nickered and whinnied for him.

The mare found a clearing after a handful of moments. Some birds were searching for seeds, pecking at the ground. Jay watched them for a moment before stepping into the clearing and peering at them as they flew away. She sighed, gazing around this new clearing she had found. She missed Brother more then ever at that moment and she wished he was there. Lowering her head to sniff at the grass, she spotted her white splashed legs. She was not blending into this forest at all, especially with all the colors she wore. Which were really only three. She scratched her leg with the side of her pink muzzle, wondering if she would ever find her brother. And if she did, what would they do then?
