The ANR in vermont spoke to the reporting person, and the story isnt quite the same as the post on here originally, or the post the owner made on twitter. She now says she never saw the cat. She was unable to give very many details on the person that took the "cat". She now has cut off any conversation regarding the event. Vermont ANR is unable to locate anyone in their agency, or fish and wildlife, that went out there. They checked with the state dispatch center, and no log of any call from the farm was found. I know if I was involved in a significant event like this, I'd sure be happy to offer any information I could. She stated way too many state people were visiting her etc. That occurred after she didnt return phone calls to them. Guess we chalk this one up as an unknown. Vermont ANR has been very cooperative, even stating flatly they don't doubt there are some mountain lions in VT. They just dont see evidence of a breeding population...yet.. Replies:
