The deer kill site which had 4 or 5 partially demolished deer partially under brush in a circular cleared area along a government trail in the woods along the river was in the Fabyan section of Thompson CT(I was exploring where the trail went). Not far from there a year earlier there was a deer kill on the side of the road, bloody and gruesome, partially covered by brush. This was on Converse Rd in Woodstock, CT. That winter I began looking more closely for prints in the snow and began my own little research project. I felt pretty confident that there was cat prints along with the daily trail of deer prints. Then in the spring when the locals were outside as I was running by I heard from several different residents that they had seen the mountain lion on more than one occasion! At this point I felt confident that the multiple deer kill had to be mountain lion work. I also came across a couple of other deer kill over time in the same area which at this point I knew to take a close look at where the wound site was and always was at the neck. I say the same area which is relative to my running route of 10 miles that I would do from my house in Dudley, MA on Old Southbridge Road. Replies: There have been no replies.
