What a blessing to see these animals out in the wild!
Not knowing much about the Canadian Lynx I read up on them -quite interesting.I was surprised to hear they have discovered cases of Bobcat-Lynx hybrids.Learning their prime source of food was red squirrells reminded me of a fact I have noticed for several years now - the squirrell population (grey) seems to be way down around here. Used to be they would over run my bird feeders and when driving anywhere around here it was the norm for them to be seen crossing your path in the road many times.Of course some would be run over but that is how it always was. It is more unusual to see one than not to see one these days. Not that I think we may have Lynx in the area - more likely the huge population of coyotes along with foxes. Thank you for sharing and reminding us how fortunate we are that Katchaya set up this board and keeps it running so we can stay informed. Thank you,Katchaya!
