Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

She danced along, paws of white almost a flash beneath her tiny frame. She was a swift thing, fox-like almost, as she stopped every so yard in a display of sudden motionlessness; bat-like ears swiveled, eyes searched and before another moment passed, she danced along the earth once more. Finally she had come to the strange land of her namesake; Yakone for the strange red aurora that had graced the skies but two years ago. She had been but a year old that night and finally they had found a name worthy of her; it had been worthy for the vivid reds and oranges of her pelts, of each tiny yellow-ish accent and the darkness that speckled it. They named her for it and for it she began to search, for it had become her destiny to find the red aurora's birthplace.

And now she was there, her lithe form sliding across the landscape with delicate ease. She continued her strange stop and start movements as she weaved through the slowly dissipating wood land, her movements almost silent. Perhaps others would have seen her size as a curse for the strength it brought was limited but at fifty four pounds, it allowed her silence, stealth and agility beyond all else. Had she been earthen hued, or even as black as the shadows, she may have become part of her landscape - unseen - and yet, it had been those vivid hues of her namesake that gave her away. A wolf of red stone and sand, she found herself perplexed and bedazzled by the tall forest trees and occasionally, as she navigated about the area, she allowed herself a moment to sniff wearily at a branch or stone. Strange scents yet not one's to be afraid of; slowly but surely, she finally broke through the tree line and onto the rocky shoreline of a nearby creek. It ran slowly and steady, a soft trickle inviting her to its mouth and while she stood completely still, those ears and eyes went back to work. Safe.

With a shrill yip of joy to herself, she began out into the openness of it all; midday rays crept through the thick foliage, illuminating her among the rocks like fire itself. There she remained, at peace atop the stones as she drank from the creek, her brush-like tail swaying behind her. Still, those bat-like ears swiveled in search of friend or foe.
