Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

silent, she comes through the night - desiring a silver light

It should have been expected that the strange wolf might have reacted poorly to being taken by surprise, but Persephone had a slightly vain streak and never expected anyone else to be as she was. She was cautious of others by nature and hated surprises, herself, and so this thought could not completely transfer onto another. She froze and tensed the muscles in her legs and back, large ears falling back when the other girl went just as stiff-legged and for milliseconds they had a quiet stand-off.

At the very least, they were on the same page right from the start.

The other relaxed, eased up... and Persephone followed suit, though she never completely lost the tension in her lanky legs and shoulders. A too-large paw lifted slowly and took a ginger step forward, her nostrils subtly flaring as she took a sniff of the air. The scent was familiar, but not in any way that she could place. It only reminded her of a warmer, lazier time when it was dark, but the darkness was not frightening. The warmth moved - it wriggled, and she wriggled right back up against it. Persephone had known since she was capable of comprehending it that she had been born with siblings, as it was much the reason for her mother's bouts of melancholy, but she could only ever remember scents and vague, muffled sounds. She could only feel the empty, incomplete pit of her stomach that grew sour when she thought about it.

Her stomach was sour now, though she could not figure out why.

"Persephone," she answered the other's inquiry with a firmness that belied her own uncertainty. However decisive her tone was, she clearly appeared to be both wary and curious. "Though, I suppose who I am would mean nothing to a stranger. It wasn't my intention to startle you." Though she didn't exactly sound apologetic. "You just seemed... familiar. You are two springs old, as well, aren't you?"

(Sorry, it's kind of terrible D:)
