Their direction had been random, and Stratton had been fearless in letting Blaine assume the head of their little adventure. To him she was no threat, and in his youth he had assumed that he was invincible- that no matter where they went he would be able to protect not only himself, but the greying mare as well. He was under the impression that he would be known no matter where he wandered, and there were people that would fear him for his lineage, leaving him along on the edges of their homes as long as he did not cause a stir or start a raucus.

During the swim to the new island, the stallion-boy had stayed firm in his position behind Blaine, letting her lead the way, assuming that she knew no better than he did where they were going. His cause for adventure was no different than hers; he wanted to see the land that he had been born into, but forced to ignore when he had been told that he was not to leave the lagoon while he was still his father's ward. He had not wandered far because he feared the wrath of his father more than anything in this world, even stumbling up upon a foreign land only to be assaulted by a man that lived here and wanted to make sure that there were no strangers wandering in and out of his trees.

They landed at nearly the same time, letting the salt water drip from their skins as they moved away from the water and into the terrain. It was a wide open field that reminded Stratton more of the meadow in the crossing than a new land that was occupied by a stallion and his concubines. Somewhat unimpressed with the land that lay beyod the ocean that had been so tantalizing for all these years, he flicks an ear at Blaine when she speaks, taking a moment longer to drink in the sights and make sure that this was all there was to see. “No, I don't know this place...” His voice is low, as though trying to keep them undiscovered by whatever had to be lurking in the grasses.

He didn't really know what to expect- but he was certainly unaware that the island he currently lived on had everything but the exotic sands of the other islands. There were meadows and clifs, waterfalls and mountains, and it even possessed the single, unique swamp in the whole of the island chain, where Stratton lived.

With a small sigh he inches forwards, deciding to take the lead this time before pausing to look back at Blaine and offer her a smile. “Do you want to run?”
