There were creatures roaming around them. The black colt could tell and smell them clearly. One smell seemed musky, and wet. A dog? Bear? Who knows. The second was that of another horse, and when she appeared, his brown orbs widened at the sight of her. She was pretty and gray, carrying weird spots along her frame. He didn't have a word for her appearance. His ears tilt forward at her voice, and he raises his head warily. He gives a snort when she leans in close, his sister now lifting her own face to stare at the lady. Her words sounded foreign to their ears, but they were clear enough when she started nudging them upwards.

Costello put up a fight , her maw opened in what could be a silent cry of fear as her legs thrust her up, almost toppling over onto her face. She wasn't going to be one to be pushed around so easily. Her twin though simply went along with what the mare wanted, noting that she seemed nice, and was full of babies like his mother had been with them. Nudging his sister to calm her silent protests, his eyes then traveled to the tall mare again, and slowly trailing to her swollen barrel, well, more like under it. Using his nose, he shoved Costello closer to the mare, and gave her a pointed stare when she turned to glare at him.

She had heard the words of the mare, but the bay filly was still wary. Creeping closer, her nose could smell the milk awaiting her, and letting instinct take over, she all but lunged forward to hide under the warm pregnant belly. Her muzzle lifted up till it found its prize, and she eagerly sucked and pulled at a teat, glad for the meal. Her twin looked on, glad his sister would survive a while longer. She was obviously the weaker of the two, but it didn't matter to him. Glancing to his mother once more, dipping his head to her in silence, he turned to join his sister and the lady. His belly didn't growl in hunger, so he simply tucked himself into the dapple shoulder of hers.

He gave a quite squeak and tilted his head up at her, unsure of where they were off to now.
