The look of anger only proved to scare the young thing even more. She truly hadn't meant to disturb the two. She was simply exploring her new home. It was so full of glorious things to stop and admire and the soft dirt under her hooves felt so wonderful. Serenity had just found an opportunity to spread her wings and fly and she was going to take every chance she could to do just that. She had felt like such a caged bird back home and here she refused to feel like that, but apparently she had just angered someone.
Quickly, it dawned on her that perhaps it wasn't all her fault. She had noticed the young one and in her nativity it never occurred to her that this other lady was simply protecting her young child. She wasn't that intimidated by the other woman despite the fact she seemed quite capable of following through on her threat. The snapping of others jaw didn't do much for the young mare. She had wanted to shy away, but she fought her flight reaction. She was going to stand her ground. It's not she had purposely showed up in the way she had and slowly, her head raised up and she planted her hooves into the soft dirt.
Although, before she could say a word she hears a muttering of only what she could describe as a new language. She allows her eyes to follow the sound and finds herself looking at two young children. They appeared to be not much older than the one the other had had. Her eyes watch them with such sorrow. The lack of another female body screamed volumes of what had happened to these two young children and her heart broke.
She watched silently as the other mare seemed to accept them as her own and her own sharp ears picked up her words, but she still said nothing. She felt so out of place in this moment. She knew very little about the love and tenderness that was being shown to these two. Serenity opened her mouth to speak but quickly shut it again. She was afraid of saying something so incredibly stupid but she didn't want to just leave. She couldn't do that. She didn't want the other lady thinking she could be pushed about. She was so tired of being bossed around and pushed down that she had to make a stand for once in her life.
I am truly sorry I stumbled upon you and your daughter. I truly meant no harm. Vercingetorix did some weird nose thing that put me under his protection and said I could follow him home. I was merely exploring the new area. Her words are soft but firm. She wants Vivianna to understand she isn't the enemy, just an excited soul looking for company. Her eyes turn to the two younglings and just smiles. Serenity was so awkward around children. She knew very little about them and had no idea what she should be doing about or even with them, so she just lets Vivianna do her thing. She appears to have the children well under control.
