[The Place of New Beginnings] Formerly Los Angeles, the city was rebuild after an earthquake in 1857; which shook the entire west coast of North America up to Alaska. The area from just above Los Angeles to Vancouver was wrecked almost beyond recognition; after the quake the area was deemed off-limits to the public, radiation from the nuclear plants that were destroyed made the area unsafe for any living organism. In 2030, modern day Los Novis is often referred to as a type of paradise; stable employment rates, low crime, and the perfect example of a community who accepts any type of people; male, female, and neutral gendered people are all welcome. The city was the first to implement the "neutral gender" law over 100 years ago, and has since led the entire nation and several other countries to implement this rule. The law requires all children under the age of 18 to live without the label of "male" or "female" and are instead placed under the "neutral" category. During their elementary, middle, and high school careers they participate in activities meant for both female and male gender roles. Once they've graduate high school, they are allowed to change their status to male, female, or to remain neutral. Many believe that it is because of this rule that Los Novis flourishes... But something ancient is rising up from the depths of the city, and it threatening to disturb the peace... It is said that the first seven humans that El, the God of the universe, created were presented with an incredible advantage - they were each given a special ability, from physical invincibility to the manipulation of human will, which El demanded they use to defend the human race from the evils El knew would try to tempt them to destroy each other, and the world He'd created. Many years passed without error - the humans flourished, loved one another and spread throughout the earth. El was pleased. The peace continued until one day an evil spirit came in secret and convinced one of the seven, a young man named Felix, that if he took the life of the other members of the seven he would gain their ability. Later that night the deceived Felix killed one of his family, gaining another ability in the process. Soon a battle began between the six remaining power holders - they each became so consumed by their struggle that they forgot about the task El had originally assigned them and wanted only all of the powers for themselves. El was furious and heartbroken - He loved His creation and was disapoined that they would betray Him in such a way. So, in a moment of anger, He cursed them. He took away their powers, and gave them to another seven - each on different sides of the earth. He told them that now the humans would forever fight each other for these gifts, that their race would not be at peace until one who was worthy held all seven. ... It is rumored that now, in Los Novis, the seven have gathered; To once and for all finish what was started thousands of years ago. But something has changed since the beginning of the world - It's not the just seven fighting each other now - random citizens are becoming aware of the ancient conflict, they have begun creating groups and secret societies in an attempt to discover just who the seven are, and how they can be killed.
