mum left. Watching her slowly retreat from around his fathers broad chest he can tell she was somewhat pleased with the meeting. She had a little more energy now, like a breath she had been holding for ages finally got released. He inwardly giggled, when mum was happy he was happy. Much as Yoren had done, the roan stallion had lipped at the colts precious barely there hairs along his neck. This is what he wondered, why he was left with such a spiky mess while the other grown horses had longer manes. Twas a strange new thing.
With this new contact, Yoren forgot Neassa for a while. She'd had him for a day already, it was someone else turn to put up with him. Putting up a small squeal of protest when his father moves away, he now eyes the blue roan with a small pout on his lips. Seems he wouldn't be able to investigate the long hairs so much now. Tilting his long ears forward, he listens to new words. Did his 'Fa' really expect him to speak such a mouthful? Furrowing his little brows, and setting his pout aside for the moment, his jaw opens and closes as if trying to sound out the new word. Solgar?
'See-ger!,' he finally chirps, and looks up at his father with a goofy grin. So maybe he hadn't gotten it right, but it was all to new for someone like himself. Leaning to the side, he peers past Solgar, to look at the red rump of his grazing mother. 'Nee-Nee'. he points out now with a toss of his red snout. It wasn't like he was actually going to use those names for them. Fa and Ma would be just fine.
for now though he simply basked in the thought that both parents would be proud for his small step toward a bigger vocabulary.
