Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

Black Rain smirked at his love's praise, tail beating the watery ice again to spray them both with chilled droplets. The fact was, no matter how you sugar coated it or played it as a joke, both of them had accomplished scary feats in their lifetimes. Flaming Rose was a powerful magician, probably the most respected blessing user on the mountain, apart from WSS, due to her publicity in the past and continued contact with outsiders of the pack. The brute himself was no short sneeze when it came to magic; but as practiced and well equipped as he was, he was more well known for his physical accomplishments. He had actually come to find that people spoke of him outside of ice, something that surprised him a great deal, as someone not to trifle with. Though he had never intended to make such a spectacle of himself, he figured the least he could do would be to use his, well to put it in general terms, infamy to do some good.

"Retirement?" The black brute let out a small chuckle. "No, dear, I'll retire when I'm dead. I don't think I could stand being a lazy old wolf anymore than I think you could." He smiled up at her, icy blue eyes soft with admiration. "Wandering the mountain sounds nice and teaching others to use blessings, maybe off and on for me. I might hang out around the old battle grounds and see about teaching a thing or two about physical fighting. But that's all on the side, you know. Like for fun." The brute's eyes narrowed a bit, staring off past the red wolfess with a serious expression on his face.

"Something I've come to realize, a bit more recently than I should like, is that there is too much that goes on around here that nobody seems to know about until it's too late," Black Rain stated, tone thoughtful. "That war, Fire and Wind Gale against Ice, it didn't just start up spur of the moment. That kind of thing takes months, maybe even years, to prepare. And yet, nobody on our side of the bridge knew about it until it was about to happen." He paused, pushing himself up into a sitting position. "You know, for all the power this mountain has blessed us with, I can't help but think it's our duty to stop these sort of things before they happen, Love. Ice isn't our home, Wolf Mountain is. Ice pack, it just happens to be the part of the mountain we made den and stuck around. Personally, I think it's time we stepped up our game and started doing some good for our home. I mean, think about it, how much good we can do when we aren't tied down to Ice anymore."
