GUIDELINES

- the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
- anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
- adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
- the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
- the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors

Jay felt brave. She had just gone and explored a new area with small canyons that looked like the ones she had grown up on. When she left she craved for more to search and explore and she somehow found herself in a grassland with, well, grass. Some of the long stalks reached up to her chest, while other were as low as her pasterns. Quietly she stepped through, listening to the long blades rub against each other. The wind could barely be found and the sun did not offer much comfort as it sent its too warm rays down on her back.

Personally, Jay found the new area very relaxing and peaceful. She really never had time to relax when her parents died and when she lost Brother. After traveling through burning forests and dry deserts, Jay felt as though she could spend some time relaxing in this new place. Her hunt for Brother would continue, just not as vigorously.

With a sigh she folded her legs and laid in the long grass, feeling concealed. Her grey body did not blend in with the green and yellow field, but she really didn't mind. Feeling the grass glide against her body felt lovely as it partly concealed her from the sun. Flaring her nostrils and gently tossing her dark mane, Jay hoped she had not wandered in on someone's herd land.
