Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

He waited, small paws resting against the rim of the rock, falls crashing down below as the obsidian of his gaze, so strange, so unusual, rested against the dark of the large female, expression polite and yet curious all the same. He hardly means to judge, after all, it is not his place to defend small creatures and yet he finds himself at odds with his own incorrigible intellect. His knowledge of Angels, will admittedly limited, has led him to believe that such creatures do not kill without purpose, or more so, they destruction they caused is not one built on pain and suffering. Such ideals are left for lesser creatures, for creatures, Pan believes, of more basal minds and surely, the Angel before him cannot be a creature of a basal mind, for Angels are not basic, yet her actions contradict this and indeed, in the name of science the small golden male finds himself standing before her with polite inquiry, frowning the instant her lips are given to part, her accent thick and heavy- her words....jumbled. He felt his eyes widen, though not at all at that which she said, the shock upon his features inclined entirely towards her method of speech. Did she not know the common tongue? Why was she leaving out the conjunctions in her words? What an utterly fascinating creature! He felt his lips pull into a glorious golden grin, a cry of almost ecstatic jubilation parting his lips as he leapt a few paces forward, stocky, powerful form and muscle rippling with youthful ease beneath his pelt as he shifted closer, though of course not to entirely close as to be within strike range- he is far to intelligent for that, good sense keeping him still back from the large female until he is entirely sure of her motives.

“What a fascinating method of speech! Tell me, are you aware that you have failed to use any conjunctions in your sentence? Do you all speak in this method? Malina’s words were very well formed where as your own clearly struggle, tell me, please, in every detail, what was the language of your birth?”

Evidently, whatever point the black female had been attempting to make was lost, fallen on deaf ears of a young male to entirely captivated with her method of speech to notice the speech itself, save for the rather pleasant lit of her voice and feminine tones. Odd, Pan finds, considering her size, one would expect an even deeper voice and yet the ways of the vocal cord are mysterious at best. Her features however remained impassive, Pan’s naturally gorgeous grin dimming somewhat at the lack of response upon the facial features of the other, curiosity overtaken once more, lips parting to speak when her own disjointed words came forward again.

“Fish? Goodness women what are you talking about fish for? Yes I can see the waterfall but I was in no way referring to your ability or not to capture or spot fish and I- oh. Oh you were feeding the fish! Oh no, you don’t understand, I apologise, I will attempt to speak in a slower tone and with more simple words so as not to cause your mind undue conflict. What I meant was that you, in your destruction of the creature, created undue suffering and I have been led to believe, through my own studies, that Angels do not do that. You had no intention of consume....er....eating the creature, you merely wished to cause it pain and that is not an angelic ideal. Do you disagree?”

He didn’t mean to sound patronising, nor arrogant and yet from the lack of emotion upon the creature before him he wasn’t even entirely sure she had heard. Perhaps that was her problem, after all that would very much explain her garbled speech and inability to pronounce certain sounds. His head tilted slightly to the side once more, thoughtful before his black eyes found her own.

“Are you deaf? As in, do you struggle to hear? Is that why you find yourself unable to produce sounds and words in a correct manner? I find that very unusual for an Angel and yet with the amount of white in your bloodline that is not entirely inconceivable. Tell me, did you have a white parent?”

The pursuit of knowledge apparently takes precedence of all other things, Ava's attitude entirely ignored as the boy grinned towards her with good natured ease.
