A sharp squeal erupted unbidden frome her muzzle as the golden stud curved around her and pulled himself on top of her. It all happened so quickly, the claustrophobia of being trapped beneath him did not last long, but it was enough to cause a small flower of panic to burst open in Maji's heart. She regained control of herself and calmed down almost as soon as he dismounted, but it had been enough to snuff out any instinct to attack.
Maji took a step back, her breathing coming in short gasps, and stared at him with that same cold, blue stare. He could not shake her, not even now. She tipped her ears forward as she took a step to the side, her brown and white body rubbing up against a tree. She took in his face, his expression, everything that she could read on his body. He was lost, out of control, self destructive.
"I would not call passing on the genes of someone who's such a mess useful."
Her voice spilled out of her in a rush of syllables that all matched one feeling. Cold. Her white as bone face lifted so that she looked him right in the eye. She wasn't resentful or angry, there was no bitterness in her voice, only mild disgust, like he was something she had stepped in. It wasn't born out of any great love of herself, she didn't think herself above him, not exactly. He was just... lowly. He purred out those oily words, a look of conceit on his rust colored face. He thought he had done something great. He thought he had shown her who was boss. But it wouldn't last, he would sink back into self loathing soon enough, and how could he not? He deserved to be loathed.
