I have been informed by Glenna Chauncey of TPD/CIB that Irene Miller, also known to some of you older old timers as Irene Loper, passed away over the weekend. Irene was a former administrative secretary in the vice unit and then as executive secretary in the chief’s office. Services will be held this Tuesday April 23, 2013 at 6:00PM, at the Victory Christian Center at 9706 N. 26th Street, just north of E. Busch Blvd. After her retirement from TPD, Irene volunteered and contributed many hours of service to the Tampa Police Department Museum. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at the TPD Memorial Fund in the memory of Irene.
