GUIDELINES

- the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
- anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
- adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
- the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
- the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors
the world is on my side

Gnome had a lot on his plate at the moment. Not much had happened when he had first arrived, but lately activity filled his life. Cersei should have followed him home, but she was nowhere to be seen for the moment. Because she seemed perfectly capable of looking after herself, he was not yet worried. He figured she was taking her time to mess with his head. It seemed like something she might do, anyway. But then again, he did not know her too well.

There were also now neighbors to meet and potentially make alliances with, though that could be pushed to the side while he took some time to reevaluate what he wanted to do here. He hadn’t really arrived with a plan, but in light of recent events he was thinking about at least having a goal. Thus far, he had acted in a somewhat rash manner. Cersei would likely have his child come spring. Though she had requested it, he still felt as if he should have refused. Something about the situation felt wrong, and that inkling had only increased after his discovery of Lilika, his childhood friend.

It seemed to him that the blue roan wanted something more than friendship, which was the potential issue. While the idea did not bother him by any means, and in fact appealed to him, he dreaded the moment when the two mares would meet. Cersei would likely react in a peculiar manner, as she had when he’d gone to fetch her from the crossing island. And Lilika…he wasn’t sure how she’d respond to the palomino woman. The last thing he wanted to do was initiate a conflict between the two of them. Such disagreement in a herd would only weaken it.

Gnome wandered through the grasses of his home, his red and white coat contrasting with the dull winter landscape. As he walked, he grabbed a mouthful of brittle grass here and there, much as he had when the grullo had lived here. He was alone, but he knew it would not be too long before company would find him, and so he began to mentally brace himself for the meeting to come.
