and then suddenly she was alone

his touch is weak, but it did sooth a slight ache in her chest. Her head, on its own doing, nuzzled deeper into the shoulder it was leaning on. She'd take what she would get, but one thing struck her as she closed her eyes. The fact that she could so easily imagine herself in this moment, of how she looked right about now, taking up a view of the whole scene in front of her from a birds eye view. Was this what Abbott saw? Seeing his twin grieve over another loss. To watch her break her personal bubble and seek comfort from someone who hardly spared them a glance. If Co had been thinking straight, she'd probably laugh and stare up into the sky, asking her ghost of a brother if she was doing right, allowing the lead brute into her pitiful life now. Her shoulders shake now with what could be mistaken of more shedding tears but in truth, it was the cold unheard laughter that raked her body then.

Abbott would most certainly be cursing her over and over, but this wasn't the time to laugh or to think such things.

She lifts her face now, eyes moving to the soaked spot where her head had been on his shoulder, and without glancing in his direction she silently dips her head in an apologetic manner. Her eyes still wet, blinked back tears as they tried to free themselves again. She had her moment of weakness, and now it was over, but just as she lifts her face to finally look the stallion in the eyes, the steps of another alert her and she turns to take in the form of a horse she thought was lost as well, Mama Yscha. She was partially between the two horses now, and with them both, she surprisingly felt more calm and so she welcomes her adoptive mother with a gentle snort and a rub of muzzles.

Co felt like a filly again, being coddled once more. Her ears flick forward at the sound of Yscha's voice, but she can not answer, how could she? Turning her head, she eyes the stallion, dark eyes boring into his face hoping he would get what was wrong. She could have easily led them to where her twin lay cold and still, but he was on a journey to the other life and Co would not let anyone near. So instead she looks over her shoulder, shakes her head once when she sees the bushes that hide her tiny grove where Abbott lay, and then turns back to both horses, again shaking her head.

Being without words was becoming a great pain, but yet the girl made do. She hoped both would get the message. He's Gone .
