He doesn't want nor like to think about the loss. It wouldn't do him any good to think about it, and already he has spent more then enough time with those things thick in his mind. It never helped, never did him any good. No, it did more harm. It made him ache. He was tired of aching... There were the empty places and they loomed large within him. Missing pieces he could not get back, could not bare to look for, even. He had to deal with what had come of his life and hope for a better future. What else did he have?
Yes, Sabriel had been very young when the meteor struck. There were no real attachments to Casidhe, his birth mother. If anything, he was most close to Pompeii, his adoptive mother. She was who had kept him alive, kept him from growing cold. That was what mattered, right there. He'd been raised by the red wild lady, and he was thankful for that. He loved her as a mother and always would. Back to the Diveen thing... she was there, in that pack. Maybe he could go and see here if they really wouldn't blame him for what his father had done..
He nods to Micteca at the reaffirmed words and the thoughts keep on going. Ping-ponging right through. And the changed subject, but he's already somewhat hooked on the other thing now. Yet a bird hunt wouldn't be bad. He gives a smile at that idea. "We could yes. Though.. I would like to visit Diveen, and Pei.." He responds lightly, looking at her. And then he had to ask the other thing, because it would not leave his mind if he did not. It would keep at him until he spoke up. So he did, and he waited with baited breath for her answer. Her actions spoke volumes, and then... she spoke. Sabriel brightened, tail wagging rapidly behind him. His maw parted in surprise. "And I love you." Quiet, he was, genuine. He inched closer, shuffled his forelegs down before her. "Micteca... will you be my mate?" He asked, heartfelt.
