Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

I smell the wolf before I see her. I grit my teeth knowing that this will be an awkward encounter mo matter what. As she speaks, my ears flatten from the loudness. O.k. it probably wasn't that loud, but after being alone for the time that I was had my already sensitive unused to such sounds. I keep my head down and answer her question reluctantly, "My name is Rodan." my voice is hardly more than a whisper. It's not that I'm afraid; I'm just unused to telling people my name. I use my claws to trace symbols of my old pack in the dirt. I smile ever so slightly from the comforting, familiar signs then stop smiling hoping the she wolf didn't see it. Around others I must remain a mask of indifference as I was taught. I can see shes trying to be friends with me, but it's not going to be easy. I think I'll try to be nice to her though. Maybe she can help me get into the pack. Continuing to trace the symbols into the dirt I quietly ask her, "is there anywhere I can get food and water?" My own voice sounds like ice and I hope I don't scare her away. I don't think I'll be able to stop talking this way and I hope she doesn't take it wrong. I wait for an answer, still tracing in the dirt
