Joining a new RPG can be scary. Most often, people just join RPGs that their friends either own or play on. So what about the roleplayer who is new to the scene? What about the roleplayer who wants to get away from the standard clique? What about the owner who doesn't have much of a name yet and wants to get some members? Well, that's where I come in.
I've been in the roleplaying world for 10 years now. I've seen my share of sites, I've played on a lot of them, and I know what I like or dislike. You may disagree with me, and that's totally fine. My ratings for sites are based on my own opinions, which I spell out clearly in my articles. If you have a differing opinion (maybe you think something is good while I think it is bad, and vice-versa) then go with your gut. I'm just giving you an unbiased* look at each site and telling you exactly what I think.
I decided I'm going to stay anonymous for this project. Hopefully, you don't think I'm some sort of coward for choosing to this, but let me explain: I don't want owners of sites I rate poorly to dislike me. I don't have to like your site to like you, and I don't have to like you to like your site. Plus, I don't want some sort of epic backlash if I decide to open my own RPG later. Not that I'm afraid of criticism or anything, but I want you to look at my site in the same unbiased manner I look at yours.
You can probably expect a new review every week, permitted my own roleplaying and real-life doesn't get in the way. I am very thorough with my reviews though, I comb through sites completely before I post anything on here. From time to time, you can even expect a random opinion blog post in general, which would not include any names or sites in a negative manner. Whatever floats my boat, I guess.
Enjoy.
* = My preference for certain owners, players, or genres will not effect my judgement. I do, however, prefer certain layout styles, page set-ups, etc, so you could consider me "biased" on that regard.
