Susil Crags
Disaster has struck!

She reads my expression, probably reading every thought in my mind that's worried about her health should we go after a wild boar. They like to charge and I know that she's fast but what if something happens? In my mind, I see her running and tripping over a root or something and the boar bearing down on her. It's enough to make me flinch internally as if it really happened. I mustn't think like that. I shake the thoughts from my mind. Putting on a determined face, I set to sniffing out the trail and I note the sudden excitement in the air. Glancing up, I catch Laila's gaze and smile, my eyes bright and shining, more alive than they've been in a long time. She looks so happy when I tell her that I'll help her track the boar since it seems she's never hunted one before. Better now than never, right? I'll just have to be extra careful about not letting her get hurt. My skin tingles when she giggles. The sound always gets to me. We run for a few miles as I track the boar, her skin rubbing against me at one point, making me instantly smile, a playful gleam in my golden eyes. I hope she knows how much she affects me, how much I love her, how I would do anything for her. We get close after an hour or so and the air around us changes to something charged and dangerous. I crouch low and I sense her doing the same, crawling up to beside me. I glance over and my brow raises at her new stance. She's ready, I can tell. Smirking, my eyes glow wickedly as I whisper close to her ear. "Okay we have to scatter and keep his attention as spread out as possible. You can't let him focus on either one of us for too long or he'll charge. Keep snapping and running. They have tough hides but with just two of us, we don't have time to dig in and make it count. It's all about blood loss and antagonizing the boar to hurt itself. Most of the time they'll get so distracted by the pain and frustration that they'll charge a tree or break their own legs turning too sharp. Ready?" I can see that she is, I just have to get one last good look at her beautiful face. I start to take off to circle around wide but I turn back for a moment, eyes boring into hers with all the love in the world. "Be careful. You are my world." Then I'm gone, circling around wide to come at the boar from behind. I crouch low, waiting for Laila to launch so I can at the same moment. |
