Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Return to Lunar Children

Was she surprised to have found Fathom there, so close to the edge almost looking like she wanted something to happen? Well, actually yes. Malina thought that most females were happy to be with child - to be expecting, to have some male think of them pretty enough to procreate with. Had she been wrong? It was likely, after all, she had barely known what winter was all about. Eh, it seemed life was just constant learning and surprise after surprise. At least it kept her busy even if the idea of throwing herself between Fathom and a sheer cliff didn't seem so fun to her. Perhaps Fathom had less than preserving thoughts when it came to the things within her stomach but, well, Malina saw it differently - she was not them and they were not her. She didn't want to die even if at times they made her want to; it was just easier to rid herself of them then to give up so fast. If only she could make somebody else feel such a way though - all she could do was give Fathom her best shot at a comforting smile as she shuffled forward another few steps.

"It's okay - my lips are sealed if you want them to be. We'll keep each others secret, right?"

She sounded friendly - calm, collected, even looked the part but the question was darker than just that. If Fathom was to tell anybody the secret in which she had just been shared, Malina would be forced to take action against her. She and the rats that would spawn out of her could not be put at risk - Aaliyah had practically been shunned solely because she had procreated with Tobias, but Malina? The next Keeper of Assassins? She'd damn well be more than shunned and her children would have their heads used as a warning to the others. All the same, though, Fathom's secret would be kept too if that was what she so desired - Malina knew well that if Heyel was to discover the black eyed beast had indeed found Fathom, then the children would be watched until the very day they died, smack with labels such as 'dangerous' or 'potential demon.' It wasn't a good life for anybody, particularly not the children of somebody Malina had started to consider a friend. And what would become of Fathom? Mockery? Judgement? No, it wasn't right. They'd both have to answer for their sins one day but Malina's day was then - Fathom would be told just as Rogue had been. Two secret keepers, how pleasant.

"I was raised away from the pack, from my parents and even my peers. I was never raised to understand winter, children and all the things that come with it. That was my downfall - despite my conviction, I'm still very much naive."

She half smiled, chuckling so quietly at her own stupidity. Through it, though, she heard the sudden footsteps of another, her nostrils finding the male's scent just as fast as any other - instantly she went into defense, rising to her feet in a flash and pivoting to face the intruder. Along her spine, her hackles rose like knives as her eyes drilled into the male. He looked harmless but... who exactly could they trust? Especially now. A male had gotten them into this mess so why should they expect anything but that to happen once again?

"Speak your name before you speak to her again."

She barked her words, shifting sideways until she effectively stood between Fathom and Constance. She held her composure, restraining from curling her lips or flashing her teeth - after all, in her current condition she could do little in a fully fledged fight. Did Fathom even know this male?
