GUIDELINES

- the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
- anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
- adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
- the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
- the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors
the world is on my side

Luckily, Gnome was very occupied in reviving his firstborn, or the first of his children he had seen; Cersei’s disappearance meant that the fruit of their brief union had gone along with her. If he had not been so focused, he might have noticed that Lilika was slipping deeper and deeper into a potentially lethal coma. As this was not the case, he continued to stimulate the filly into protesting at last. Relief flooded him as she let out her squeal and began to shift her legs while he prodded at her mother.

When the light finally returned to the blue roan eyes, he released a breath he hadn’t known he was holding; the possibility of losing her had been far more unbearable to him than if the child had died – at least initially. Now that he had heard her tiny voice and seen that she was of them both, he would do anything to keep the filly alive along with her mother.

Based on the pain in her voice and the expression that cut into him, he knew Lilika felt the same. Brushing his face against her cheek, he glanced over to see the girl halfway to her feet already – remarkable, considering what she had been through.

“She is alive, and strong given the circumstances. A bit of a late start, but I put her into line eventually.”
He smiled, though he knew they were not out of the water until the mare rose and the filly fed. “With what she’s put us through already, I’d say we have our work cut out for us. And how are you? Can you stand?” He waited, trying this time not to cease his respirations. Looking down into her face, he hoped that even if she did not rise immediately, the breech birth would not have permanently impaired her ability to walk.
