aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Nah – I’m sure you’re alright really Hellene. You just need to focus on your surroundings, absorb everything around you if you want to be successful. And you also need to uphold a positive attitude too, that’s very important. But yeah, I’d love to teach ‘em. Hellene laughed. “I appreciate your belief in me, really, but I’m a hopeless case of klutziness. As for teaching my two pups, I really am grateful. Obviously we shall have to wait until they are a bit older, and until Destan has grown a bit more confidence. With enough love, he will grow big and strong.” Her voice was so soothing, Hellene relaxed and let loose a sigh. She lowered her bodice until it was upon the ground, laying flat. Each one of her limbs stretched out until her daggers extended themselves. Pausing in that elongated form, she felt her spine tingle.

As Hellene relaxed her outstretched bodice, she smiled and talked about the fishing trip they soon would take. Leila chuckled in response, agreeing. Well, maybe we better stick with the fishing then. I’m not busy now so I guess around now would be cool. And by the grumbles of your stomach in sounds as if you could do with some grub soon too. Now it was Hellene’s turn to laugh, her maw opening in a loud guffaw as Leila’s paw landed upon her stomach and poked it. But she was glad for her friend’s decision. She really was hungry. Before they could start on their trip, however, conversation turned to lay upon Hellene’s knowledge of herblore. Leila had listened quietly before responding. Sounds a little like my previous pack. My mother, too, tried teaching me herblore but I was never interested. I regret it now of course but at that time I hadn’t a care in the world. Hellene shook her head as Leila’s orbs got a bit hazy. Hellene had offered to teach her what she knew and Leila smiled. Perhaps but only if you have the time; after all – you have a family now.

They have to learn too! While they are still young, their knowledge in herbology will begin. You can just attend and learn with them – help encourage them to learn by mentioning your indiscretions in your own youth.” The timberess winked at her friend poking fun at her once more. “But for now, let’s settle for fishing. Where would you like to start? Lake or stream? Both contain delicious morsals… it really all depends on which you want to learn in.
