It was time for adventure. Things were happening in the pack that I didn't understand and Mom was hardly ever home to keep an eye on me and Emerald. So I took my chance to explore the world, get to know the surround lands better. One day I knew I was going to travel outside of Diveen on a special pack task and I was determined to get a head start on those who were my age. I was going to have to pick a mentor one day, someone who could help me grow into a powerful assassin, and they were going to teach me all I needed to know about the world and the wolves who lived here. But wouldn't they be impressed if I could already tell them about the lands outside of Diveen? I bet they would. And so, with that simple thought it my mind, I moved off with my head held high and my eyes seeking adventure and glory. The lands directly outside of the pack weren't all that impressive and looked just like the place I grew up. It wasn't until the trees started getting taller and the grass greener that I noticed a change in the world.

I kept going, eyes wide in excitement and heart pounding with the adrenaline. Today was going to be fun and wouldn't Mom and Dad be so happy to hear I was old enough to travel without them? It wasn't until later that day that I realized I was in trouble. I figured I would just follow my own scent back to the pack lands, but I soon became aware that the scent of other wolves and animals that lived in the world was overwhelming mine. I lost track of where I had been and quickly became lost. At first, I didn't let it bother me. But as the day started to pass into the evening I grew more and more worried. Mom would be freaking out if I wasn't home by sundown and I'm sure Dad would try to come find me. But the question was would he be able to find me. I had no idea where I was. How could he possibly know?

The sound of movement nearby made me gasp and crouch low into the tall grass surrounding me. I had been confident and headstrong before, but now that I knew I was in danger I had grown weary. I wasn't stupid, foolish maybe but not stupid, and I knew that there were things much bigger than me out here and I wasn't protected like I was in Diveen. The scent of a lone wolf reached my nose and I cocked my ears up, trying to figure out if I wanted to approach him or not. Maybe he could help me get back home! I moved slowly and pulled the grass out of my way until I saw him close to a gathering of caves. It didn't seem like anyone else was around and if this brute wanted to eat me I could always run away. Maybe the caves would protect me from him. Building up the courage, I walked forward and cleared my throat. "E-excuse me, mister. But I am lost and I need to get home before my parents realize I'm missing. Do you know how I can get back to Diveen?"
