forbidden seas

Her last grooming session with Asp had made her rather fond of the red dun stallion, and this second one only set in stone where she belonged. Her tail flicked behind her with content. But then the call of someone strange drew both of their attention. Dragonmaw already knew that Asp would be interested (and she was, too!). In no time, he was giving her cues to remain put. This only piqued her curiosity more.

He turned and left her. She wasn't offended by his sudden dismissal of her -- it was something she had already grown accustom to in her past. What would it hurt if she experienced it a little in her present? As patient as she was, curiosity and interest trumped any urge to obey the dun stallion. She followed. She stood only far enough that she could see the form of the pale blue mare, and looked on. Her eyes and ears were both focused on the duo.

She saw Asp trying to drive her and push her as he had done to her among the larger common island. Had she been any younger, she'd have turned and trotted off right then. But she was bigger, stronger, and a little more fearless than when she was a yearling. She wasn't about to budge until he had gotten close enough to snake the both of them back to their former spot among the dull green grass.
