aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Rohan just stood there not knowing what to say he mothers words hurt him slightly, “Rohan,” she growled, and her voice was low. “I have always loved you. How can you pretend you do not know how it feels? When I stayed awake at night, watching over you and your sister, was that not love? When I chose you, and lived the rest of my life burying the pain that haunted me over any choice I could’ve made, did you not feel my love for you then?” There was evident hurt in her tone, but it was clear she was done being disrespected by her son. “You do not know why I left Kalgalath, and you have failed to ask. Do not make assumptions of me. Your claims make me feel as if you don’t know me at all.” With these reprimands she dared her son to acknowledge how he truly felt of her; what the root core of his anger was. She sighed, dispensing much of her wrath along with it. “My son, you will not truly know what it means to hurt like hell until you stand judgment in front of your own child” stinging wounds re-opened and bled, but all in a metaphorical sense. Her clear blues stared into his own but he failed to stay within her gaze. Even being a full adult the piercing gaze of his mother could bring him to his knees. It was all too much for him to handle…

Adara had taken her chance and left into the brush. Rohan took tentative steps toward the place that had swallowed her but he stopped and took a path very close by. When out of sight and hearing distance he crumpled to his knees and let his anger unravel in streams down his face. The salty liquid seeped into the corners of his gapping jaw. Silent cries escaped him and his body convulsed as he wept. Time had finally gotten the better of him, the loose ends had finally unraveled the last remaining bit of his emotional state. Time hadn’t stopped in his absence and when he finally regained a maintainable façade half n’ hour had passed by…

Addie’s lyrics drifted through the bushes as he neared the sight again. But this time it was only Adara and his father. I think we should try being a family. It can’t be too late for us all to be together. If everyone is willing to try. I know I am and it sounds like Kalgalath is as well. Rohan took a breath and stepped into view. Adara I believe we could make it as a family but… his ruff voice paused, I feel it would be better for me to move into a separate pack as Aindreas has. I have nothing against our family and I will come for visits and greetings as such but I feel that I do not belong here. Kal, Father take none of this personally, I hold nothing against you in this turmoil. His peace being said he remained quiet for the duration of the time being.
