Thanks JJ, You was at the meeting and you heard Trustee Gray. He forgot to state he was a Top Step Sgt. This is where the confusion came in.
See his answer to my question below.

story.

Sir,
Once again you are incorrect Mr Urbitite. Since you basically are insinuating
that I somehow told a lie at the meeting.....let me show you in writing. I am
a Sr, Sergeant....there is NO STEP beyond my pay grade. If called upon the be
an acting Lieutenant or acting Captain, I would be paid as a step one
Lieutenant. The below is right out of the Tampa PBA standing contract.

ARTICLE 28
ACTING PAY
28.1 Any employee assigned by the Chief of Police to act in a higher promotional
classification for a continuous period of 40.0 hours or more shall receive one
(1) step
additional salary for the period during which he serves in the acting capacity
including
overtime. Any employee assigned to the modified work schedule who is assigned by
Chief of Police to act in a higher promotional classification for a continuous
period of 34.3
hours or 45.7 hours per the assigned schedule shall receive one (1) step
additional salary for
the period during which he serves in the acting capacity including overtime.

You have once again, publicly putting out erroneous information that is not only
false but it is being put our maliciously. I have sought the advise of my
personal attorney and will respond to you via that mode. For a man who has a
past history of lacking integrity, I would be careful where I cast stones!

As always, if you have a question of me. You can contact me at the Tampa Fire
and Police Pension Office. You know where it is.
