Mountain Lion sightings have been widespread across the New England States for the last century. With all the forests & woodlands in New England, such reports do NOT surprise me at all. In conversations with late Professor Harold Hitch#### of Middlebury College, he often used these comments: "as long as adequate PREY, adequate WATER and adequate HABITAT exists, there is NO reason why a wild, free-roaming cougar, mountain lion or puma could NOT be inhabiting the woods near you.....
