Welcome to Obsession!
About an hour outside of Colorado Springs lies and old town called Crystal, Colorado where exactly is that? You may ask. Or maybe you have never heard of it? Crystal is an old abandoned town, or a Ghost Town if you will. Until recently no one has lived here, most have driven past it on the nearest highway, but have not even realized it existed. It is one of those places you might see on the History Channel, or one of those Ghost T.V. shows that many people are so wild about. But one thing is for certain, this place does exist.
Late Summer in 2012 two siblings, twins to be exact, came camping for their senior trip, and somehow stumbled onto the abandoned homes of Crystal, and right away took note of how peaceful, and almost sad the place looked. It appeared to be aching for people to return. For some reason Jenna, and Jason believed that something needed to be done to restore this town to its original glory. They were so involved with the idea that when their end of summer vacation was over they returned to their rich parents and spoke with them about buying up the 10,000+ acres that made up Crystal, at first to no avail, however, with hard work in their first semesters in college the two came back and tried again, this time, Jenna, the one studying to become a lawyer was able to convince her father and mother to fork over the money, and thus the Legends of Crystal, Colorado; begins.
By spring of 2013, the two young college kids were helping their parents move into a house they built on the highest point in Crystal Springs, one overlooking what seemed to be a peaceful river in the valley. A bridge was built, and the house shortly after. Both kids, having transferred colleges to Colorado Springs decided to live at home, and commute to school, wanting to see this town become something. They slowly started telling people in school about a new apartment complex their parents built, and the roads that were going in, and with things being so very cheap to start, many kids started to listen.
Though the town is undergoing many renovations, they have tried to keep some of the historic land marks and fence them in. The history here is vague at best, but for those with a heart of adventure like Jenna and Jason, and their Parent Carl and Ramona, this place is a great place to start. Who knows what might lurk around the area, ghosts of past miners, and even worse, Vampires, Werewolves, Angels, and Demons, things that can blend so easily into the human race. Maybe the ghosts aren't the scariest thing this town has to offer anymore.
The one thing that these few residents of Crystal, Colorado don't expect is the different species that live within the lands now a days. Even in 2013 as they have built up their new home, slowly, but surely, they have not taken the time to realize that Vampires, Werewolves, Angels, and Demons exist. They are too busy with their Obsession restoring this old town. They do not realize that the beauty around them comes with a price, and that some of the most beautiful people, that are appearing, may not be as they seem. Even as some of the beautiful people filter in; the Bailey's remain unaware to happy in their state of mind with repairing the old town to its former glory, and maybe even better.
Its not always such a bad thing to have a mix of species, there is plenty of room to roam, and most now-a-days are able to blend in and appear human with little problem. This being the case, all have been welcomed into the cozy little town of Crystal. Not everything is available just yet in the small town, many renovations are still in process, the nearest city for shopping is Colorado Springs, quite a drive for some, but still well worth it.
With not only humans, but the potential for Ghosts, Werewolves, Vampires, Angels, and Demons, do you dare to stop and lay down roots? Will Crystal, Colorado become and Obsession for you as it did for the Bailey's? Or will you keep on traveling by?
